I had the opportunity to visit WASTELAND in Los Angeles and San Francisco: both of which were stunning in stock and selection as well as price. For those who don't know Wasteland is a well-known pre-loved fashion company for modern and vintage styles with 4 locations in California: Santa Monica, Studio City, Los Angeles and San Francisco.
Basically each store will stock different vintage finds suited according to their geographical trends and particular styles: for instance the Santa Monica store offers a “smooth blend of West Side ease and beach-meets-Highstreet style”, the Studio City store has the "perfect selection of on-trend-vintage, fabulous modern and current and collectible designer items. We also offer studio services to wardrobe stylists for film and print" similarly "SF Wasteland is a dream for the fashion forward, the collector and those looking to find that perfectly unique vintage, designer or modern piece". Finally the flagship store is located on busy Melrose Avenue so expect "celebrity sightings and fabulous bargains on designer and vintage clothing are what made this location famous".
Never have I discovered a greater love for vintage thrift shopping on the West Coast! It is insanely well priced, piece start from $10 and you can purchase fur jackets and collars for under $50! Wasteland also stocks Jeffrey Campbell, Minkpink, Stolen Girlfriends Club, Cheap Monday, Stylestalker to name a few - it was fantastic to see so many Aussie labels doing well in the states! Definitely a must go destination for any fashion fiend!
