Last Tuesday night I attended a special bloggers' preview of the newly opened Alina Van designer shoe boutique situated in Oxford Street, Paddington. The debut Spring/Summer 11 collection is comprised of bright shades, amazing snake skin look and pony hair textures, heel cut outs and overall is a youthful, bright and exciting collection perfect for these hot summer days. All the shoes are handmade and made with leather inner as well as outer so they are incredible comfortable to wear.
Not only were we treated to a one on one consultant with the sales staff, but also were given our very own Alina Van shoes to take home!
The shoe I chose was based on practicality rather than lust. I basically live in flats, though have an extensive wedge collection. Wedges and my beloved Chloe pumps are only reserved for fashion events or other special occassions, certainly not to be worn zipping around Sydney on public transport! So I chose the beautiful Alexandra velvet mesh x leopard print pony hair flats - perfect for everyday! Once I saw the pony hair, I died (its another one of my obsessions!).
For the opening I wore my newly purchased Alice McCall pleated top and super soft Ebony Eve leather skirt. It was only after the night was over that I realised I was wearing triple talon/animal accessories (my PL talon cuff, crow skull necklace and talon ring! Just another obsession of mine! haha)
