So after a year of starting Little Black Book and having the desire to make some DIY pieces (and showcase them here) here is a little beauty I have been working on.
I purchased this mint condition, vintage Escada woolen skirt with beautiful velvet panel detailing on the waist from eBay for a measly $40! It also has deep pockets and I was very lucky to find such a beautifully crafted piece especially on the internet.

Anyway basically what I did was just re-adjust the hemline and made it shorter (as it was down to my ankles) and well I actually at first when I purchased it planned to wear it to work with a black tee but the more I look at it the more I am falling in love with it. Not only is it very hard to find high waisted skirts that have that special flair about them, its also very hard to find something thats affordable and this skirt takes the cake.
I call this ensemble Moscow nights....
